Project Engineer

Assignment Duration: one year
Assignment Location: Anchorage, Alaska
Rotation: 6 weeks on/ 1 week off or 10 weeks on / 2 weeks off

Duties: The Project Engineer will work at the direction of the Project Lead. Supports the permitting process• Maintains close oversight on project costs and schedule and be accountable for completing the assigned segment safely and in a timely manner.
• Works closely with Operations to assure that operability requirements are met.
• Assists in the development of detailed engineering and construction schedules.
• Reviews fabrication and construction estimates • Participates in project drawing reviews
• Assures that project management of change procedures are rigorously followed.
• Oversees contractor project control efforts to ensure timely reporting to Program Controls
group • Participates in constructability reviews and assist the Construction Contractor in the
development of construction budgets and schedules • Tracks material procurement and deliveries to assure that equipment arrives in time to meet construction and fabrication schedules. Controls scope and schedule changes • Oversees contractors to maintain schedule and costs• Controls changes during construction• Manages material procurement inefficiencies• Monitors permit status to reduce likelihood of scope impact.

Requirements: Engineering or Construction Management degree preferred; Project Management Professional (PMP)certificate is desirable; 5 plus years of Project Engineering experience required;• Greater Prudhoe Bay experience is desirable; Excellent problem solving capabilities; must be action-oriented.
